Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman are going to change things up in ‘Change-Up,’ according to Variety. The ‘Freaky Friday’-ish movie tells the tale of a responsible family man (Bateman) who flip-flops bodies with his lazy best friend (Reynolds). ‘Change-Up’ is tentatively scheduled to begin shooting in September. Reynolds recently starred alongside Oscar-winner Sandra Bullock in ‘The Proposal.’ Bateman will be in theaters on August 20, sharing the screen with Jennifer Aniston in ‘The Switch.’ He was also in the Oscar-nominated film ‘Up in the Air.’

Yabba-Dabba-Doo! Nicolas Cage and Ryan Reynolds are turning the clock back to prehistoric times. The two will voice computer-generated cavemen in ‘The Croods,’ according to Variety. In the animated comedy, Crug (Cage) and his family fall victim to an earthquake. This forces them to hesitantly navigate a world that is unfamiliar to them. Along their journey, they bump into a nomadic character, played by Reynolds. His somewhat modern way of life sparks the interest of Clug’s family, his oldest daughter in particular. According to Variety, ‘The Croods’ will be in theaters on March 30, 2012 in 3D.

Sure he looks good, but now Ryan Reynolds will also smell pretty delish – the actor is the new face of Hugo Boss.

Reynolds — who will appear star in next year’s comic book blockbuster Green Lantern before reprising his role as superhero villain Deadpool in a Wolverine spinoff — has been tipped to represent two upcoming signature scents for the classic Boss brand, Women’s Wear Daily said on Friday.

“Boss is a brand that not only represents classic style and sophistication, but inspires men to work hard, embrace opportunities and strive for success in all aspects of their lives,” Reynolds tells WWD. “I’m honored Boss invited me to be the face of its new men’s fragrance.”

Ryan is married to Dolce & Gabbana spokesmodel Scarlett Johansson.

the_proposal_poster "The Proposal” hits DVD today! I put the exclamation mark, because my daughter and I really loved this movie, and actually ended up seeing it twice in the theater. Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds have great chemistry, but the real scene stealer is Betty White, who plays Reynolds’ grandmother.

The story follows an uptight corporate staffer, Margaret (Bullock), who needs to get married in order to avoid being deported back to Canada. So she ropes her assistant Andrew (Reynolds) into getting married, but things go awry when they travel to Alaska to visit his family, who decides that the happy couple should get married right then and there.

Read my full review here.

Bonus Features: There aren’t a ton of extras on the deluxe version, but included is a gag reel, two deleted scenes, writer and director commentary, and an alternate ending. Andrew tries to relay a romantic message to Margaret on the departing plane. In the process of the message being comically garbled by the stewardess and the control tower guy, the INS agent causes a stir, gets tasered, and forces the plane to turn around. Margaret and Andrew are reunited and their love is declared in time for the happy ending.

I sort of expected that to happen in the film, so I’m glad they went with the ending they used instead. I mean, you pretty much knew they’d get together at some point.

Actress Scarlett Johansson made one of her first public appearances with husband Ryan Reynolds on Saturday night. The couple — who wed in September of last year — appeared on “Saturday Night Live” together, while Ryan was hosting the show. Early in the program, Scarlett performed in a sketch with Ryan, playing a porcelain fountain saleswoman. At the end of “SNL,” the actress — wearing a little, black dress — stood by her husband’s side during the show’s credits. Scarlett and Ryan tied the knot in Canada last year.

Are Ryan Reynolds and his wife Scarlett Johansson considering adopting? In a new interview with Glamour UK, the hunky star of ‘The Proposal’ had this to say about the possibility of adopting children in the future: “My oldest brother is adopted and I have every intention of adopting at some time. I’m very grateful for having my brother in my life. I couldn’t be more pro-adoption. There are plenty of kids in the world that need it.” Ryan, 32, and Scarlett, 24, tied the knot last September in Canada.

Ryan Reynolds has been out and about promoting his new movie, “The Proposal” (which is fabulous, by the way, but I snuck into the theater and only saw the last hour, so I’ll see the whole movie and post a review this weekend). On David Letterman the other night, Reynolds talked about being married to Scarlett Johansson and his beekeeping hobby. Yes, bees.
