Ryan Jenkins killed himself Sunday in Hope, B.C. But before that, he was on the run for allegedly murdering wife Jasmine Fiore – and police are still trying to determine who aided him after he fled the U.S. into his native Canada.
The new theory? Ryan’s 19-year-old half-sister Alena Jenkins helped hide the fugitive. The Canadian Broadcast Corporation and CTV are reporting that the woman police are now focusing on is Alena, a Vancouver photographer and model.
A woman answering Alena Jenkins’ cellphone had no comment on the matter, and said only that Alena is busy with family, making funeral arrangements.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police are reportedly talking to Alena.
A PT Cruiser parked at her Vancouver condo matched the description of a car that took Ryan Jenkins to the Thunderbird Motel where he committed suicide.
The media is reporting that police were at the condo on Tuesday, and that the car spotted at the motel is registered to Ryan Jenkins‘ father, Dan Jenkins.
A RCMP spokesman said police are talking to a woman to determine how Jenkins was helped not only to reach the motel but also get across the border. Canadian laws prevent him from identifying anyone not charged with a crime.
Was sister Alena Jenkins the accomplice of fugitive Ryan?
Detectives are trying to determine “what role that person played, and the extent of the role they played.” Criminal charges would have to be filed in the U.S.
Police said Jasmine Fiore was strangled, and that Ryan Jenkins, who reported her missing August 15, was the last person she was seen with before her death.
Fiore’s missing 2007 white Mercedes was found on Wednesday a mile just west of her W. Hollywood home. Police towed the car to the Orange County Crime Lab.
Last week, after Fiore’s body turned up in a Dumpster in Buena Park, Calif., Jenkins split across the border into Canada as prosecutors charged him with murder.
After Jenkins was found dead in the hotel, police began searching for the blonde who drove him to the hotel, checked in, paid cash for three days and bolted.
Originally, they focused on Paulina Chmielecka, his ex-fiancee. But it wasn’t her.
Ryan Jenkins was a contestant on two VH1 reality shows, Megan Wants a Millionaire and I Love Money 3, both of which were later axed by the network.

The mystery blonde who helped reality TV star and suspected murderer Ryan Jenkins flee the authorities may have been his former fiancee, Paulina Chmielecka.
That’s according to the manager of the motel in Hope, British Columbia, where the fugitive was found dead on Sunday afternoon after he apparently killed himself.
Ryan and Paulina were engaged until he called it off a few months ago. Around that time he pursed Megan Hauserman on VH1’s Megan Wants a Millionaire, became a finalist, lost, went to Las Vegas and met Jasmine Fiore, who he married days later.
He then allegedly murdered Fiore last weekend. Got all that?
Shown photos of Paulina Chmielecka, who was in a relationship with Ryan Jenkins until early this year, manager Kevin Walter says he’s “100 percent sure” the girl who drove him to the Thunderbird Motel and paid for the room Thursday is her.
Walter only spoke with the woman, while Jenkins waited in the car. He did not know who Ryan was or that he was wanted until he was found dead in the room.
So did Paulina Chmielecka really aid Ryan Jenkins? Don’t be so sure.
Police now tell TMZ that despite the manager’s claim, Paulina is not the woman they are looking for. Moreover, she seems to have an alibi, as her agent says she was doing a fashion show Friday and filming a cooking show Saturday.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police held a press conference in which they say they identified the mystery woman, though they did not reveal who it is.
They do not feel she is a public threat, nor are they appealing for her to come forward. The RCMP says she can only be charged as an accessory after the fact to crimes committed in Canada – not to the murder Jenkins was wanted for.
Hopefully, one way or another, the book will soon be closed on the tragic death of Jasmine Fiore. We hope the late model is resting in peace.

Jasmine Fiore’s former fiance tells Usmagazine.com he has mixed emotions about Ryan Jenkins’s apparent suicide.
“It’s bittersweet,” Travis Heinrich tells Us of Jenkins, who was found hanging in his Vancouver motel room Sunday, police confirmed. Jenkins had been on the run in his native Canada since being charged with murder for the killing of Fiore, his ex-wife.

Megan Hauserman is “devastated” by what a contestant on her show ‘Megan Wants A Millionaire’ has done. Ryan Jenkins, a one time suitor of Hauserman, murdered Jasmine Fiore, and he has yet to be found. Jenkins strangled Fiore, removed her teeth and fingers, stuffed her into a suitcase and threw her into a dumpster.
Jenkins, 32, was a finalist on Hauserman’s VH1 show. However, after the news broke that he was wanted for the murder of Fiore, ‘Megan Wants A Millionaire’ was canceled. Hauserman is deeply saddened by the events that have unfolded.
A close friend of Hauserman told PEOPLE that Hauserman was “devastated.” This source also said, “She got to know Ryan through her show, and she is shocked and saddened by the week’s events.”
I bet Megan is sad and PISSED that VH1 actually let a KILLER on her show! PLUS, her show had to be taken off the air because of this CRAZY guy! Everyone knows Megan just wants to be famous! I actually feel sorry for Megan! This Ryan guy could have become a crazy for her and killed her!

Ryan Jenkins has been found DEAD! He apparently hung himself in a motel in Hope, British Columbia. According to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Jenkins was found by motel staff hanging in his motel room.
Jenkins was charged on August 20 for the murder of his wife, Jasmine Fiore. Jenkins strangled Fiore, removed her fingers and teeth, stuffed her in a suitcase and threw the luggage in a dumpster.
Jenkins was apparently ID’ed through his fingerprints. Unfortunately, Fiore had to be ID’ed through her breat implants since her fingers and teeth were removed by Jenkins.

Murder victim Jasmine Fiore was living in fear of Ryan Jenkins, the man now suspected of killing her, according to the Playboy model’s former fiance.
Much like Robert Hasman, her ex-boyfriend who spoke out yesterday, Travis Heinrich has nothing nice to say about the man Jasmine went on to marry.
Heinrich says he saw Ryan Jenkins hit Fiore and that she felt compelled to hide a cell phone behind his back because he would read her texts at night.
Just one month ago, Heinrich says, Fiore confided that she was “in over her head” and didn’t know how to escape her relationship with Ryan Jenkins.
Was she scared? “Oh, 100 percent,” he says.
Heinrich says he saw Ryan, a millionaire real estate developer, “punch her in the arm with enough force to push her in a pool,” leading to his arrest.
Jasmine Fiore and Ryan Alexander Jenkins married in March.
Ryan Jenkins, 32, remains at large and is believed to have evaded a massive manhunt and crossed the border into his native Canada. Mutilated remains of Jasmine Fiore, 28, were found last weekend in a suitcase in Orange County, Calif.
The violent poolside incident between Jenkins and Fiore came after Jenkins “was just drinking all day long,” says Heinrich, who broke up with her in 2007.
He says Jenkins also didn’t like that he and Fiore were talking – a familiar theme, as police say Jasmine’s texts to her ex Hasman may have led to her death.
Meanwhile, the investigation into Fiore’s murder led police to San Diego, where they stayed at L’Auberge Del Mar two days before she was found dead.
The manager of the hotel observed them and said “they looked like a perfectly happy couple.” He said he seriously doubts Jasmine Fiore was killed in the hotel, saying the walls are very thin and no one reported a disturbance.
He did say that neither Jenkins nor Fiore formally checked out of the hotel. The last time they saw Ryan was Friday morning, when he left by himself.
It appears the couple may have gone to a nearby Hilton Hotel. People at a poker party at the Hilton saw Fiore and Jenkins Friday night and observed her putting Jenkins down in a rude way. Fiore’s body was discovered on Saturday morning.
As for the chances of bringing Ryan Jenkins to justice now?
An Orange County District Attorney spokeswoman says the fugitive would have to be apprehended and extradited to the U.S. for any trial to proceed.
Canada will not extradite fugitives for death penalty offenses, however, no circumstances are attached to the murder charge that would require Jenkins be eligible for the death penalty, so Canadian authorities would likely comply.
He would have to be caught first, of course. Police say that Jenkins has likely escaped to Canada, and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Ryan Jenkins, reality star from VH1 show Megan Wants A Millionaire and I Love Money 3, has been named as a suspect in the murder of his wife, Jasmine Fiore, and he will be charged. Fiore’s body was found inside luggage in a dumpster. Apparently, the model had been strangled to death.. Also, updates say that Fiore’s teeth and fingers had been removed.
Police believe Jenkins has fled to Canada on foot. There is also speculation that Jenkins is armed with a handgun.
A man who spoke on behalf of Fiore’s family today said that Jenkins was “an animal.” This was the same man authorities believe was the reason Fiore and Jenkins were fighting prior to the models death. Robert Hasman, a former boyfriend of Fiore, had been in contact with Fiore prior to her murder. When Fiore and Jenkins were in San Diego for a poker tournament prior to the murder, Fiore texted Hasman and told him she would come visit him in Las Vegas. However, Fiore’s last text to Hasman was suspected to be intercepted by Jenkins. The last text sent to Hasman from Fiore’s phone said, ”suck it.”
