Paris Hilton’s too hot for TV….at least in Brazil.
A sexy beer ad featuring the socialite/heiress has been pulled from the airwaves in South America after consumer complaints and a watchdog agency’s investigation. The controversial campaign featured Hilton in a short black dress preening and rubbing herself with a can of Devassa beer to the delight a gaggle of Peeping Toms.
Last week, Brazilian ad watchdog group, Conar, demanded that the ad be removed, arguing that the ad treated women as sex objects and was “offensive to blondes.” Brazil’s Secretariat for Women’s Affairs also said it had received complaints about the ad.
Brewing company Schincariol, who manufacturers Devassa, has vowed to fight the ban.

Is Hilton too hot for Brazil? A Brazilian beer ad featuring American socialite Paris Hilton is raising the ire of South American officials, who want the commercial banned for its sexually suggestive overtones, reports said Thursday.
The controversial spot is for national beer brand Devassa, and shows Hilton prance around a Rio apartment in a tiny black dress while a peeping-tom neighbor snaps pictures of her bending over in a series of provocative poses.
According to Rio newsmagazine Veja, the ad is being slammed as both sexist and demeaning to women. Is this the same Brazil where nearly every ad as far as the eye can see features barely-clad young women in string bikinis?
Conar, the nation’s watchdog commission on the ad industry, as well as the government’s women’s rights coalition are investigating the commercial and will issue a decision on its fate sometime in the coming weeks.
“It’s an ad that devalues women — in particular, blond women,” according to a spokeswoman for the Women’s Secretariat, who says it has received numerous complaints about the Paris ad.
Lots of Brazilian beer ads feature women in bikinis — but a key difference is that those are set on the beach, says Eduardo Correia, a spokesman for the regulator Conar, which has opened three separate investigations into the Paris Devassa campaign.
“The problem with the ad isn’t a lack of clothing, but its sensual nature….A woman in a bikini on a beach isn’t necessarily sensual; it depends on the context.”

Paris Hilton celebrated her 29th day of birth Las Vegas-style Saturday night, with her handsome, boy toy accessory Doug Reinhardt right by her side as usual.
The socialite strutted down the red carpet before heading into her party (don’t we all) in a white Preen dress, Christian Louboutin shoes, and Chanel earrings.
Those were a gift from Doug, natch.
While there was no news of an engagement ring, Hilton gushed of her love for The Hills star (and ex of Lauren Conrad) while chatting it up with reporters.
Asked if the couple was ready to walk down the aisle, Hilton actually did not drop hints for once, demurring with: “We’ll see what happens in the future.”
Doug and Paris celebrate her 29th year on this planet.
“Right now we are so happy to be together and are really in love,” she said.
That sounds nice. Doug Reinhardt has such terrific trophy husband qualities, we’re sure he’ll get to that level eventually. For now, though, the focus is having fun.
That they did the other night with a group of friends who snacked on a tower of commemorative cupcakes prior to partaking in the nightclub b-day festivities.
In addition to their VIP table inside the club, they were soon accompanied by a giant cake and of course…a rendition of “Stars Are Blind.” Life is good for Paris.

Paris Hilton turns 29 today. While she has never been our favorite celebrity, we have come to respect Paris to a certain degree because she knows what she is:
A rich hotel heiress famous for no reason.
While wannabes like Kim Kardashian mug for the cameras, Tweet constantly and do everything in their power to stay famous, Paris just kinda does her thing.
Since her infamous sex tape in 2003, she has marketed herself ingeniously and even cleaned up her image. The airhead bit may even be (kind of) an act!

Paris Hilton is really interested in becoming Mrs. Doug Reinhardt. Why, we have absolutely no idea, but she’s making no secret about her intentions.
The hotel heiress has already dropped hints about wanting to marry The Hills regular, but she took it to a whole new level this past weekend in L.A.
“I’d like to thank my future sister-in-law Casey [Reinhardt],” Hilton said from the podium while accepting an award from the Hearts for Hope benefit.
Doug wasn’t there, but both his mom and sister – who you may recall from Laguna Beach as a classmate of Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari – were.
Talk about dropping hints: “At one point, Paris reached for Doug’s mother’s huge wedding ring,” says a witness. “She looked like she was in awe.”
Doug Reinhardt, you better put on a ring on it!
If Doug Reinhardt does decide to propose soon, we think his family approves.
In fact, the Reinhardts are apparently such big fans of Paris, they’ll even pay to hang out with her! Yes, we know, it’s really strange to try to comprehend that.
“Paris auctioned off a party picnic at her house for charity, and the bidding went all the way up to $6,000,” says an E! source. “Even though Casey can obviously party at Paris’ house anytime for free, she went ahead and took the final bid.”
In May, Paris gushed that “[Doug's] gonna be my future husband!” They’ll be registering at Williams-Sonoma and Crate & Barrel soon it sounds like.
