Lily Allen has described her miscarriage as “the worst time of my life” and revealed she still has therapy to cope with her loss.

In 2007, the 24-year-old singer — who is now dating builder Sam Cooper — became pregnant with then boyfriend Chemical Brother Ed Simons.

“I couldn’t even compute the emotions going through my head, but I was having to put out a press release about my miscarriage… I had this public sympathy for about five days and then everyone was on my case again and I didn’t know what was happening to me,” Lily told Grazia Magazine this week. “I just didn’t deal with it at all. I didn’t even start beginning to deal with it until the baby’s due date. Then it just hit me like a house collapsing.”

She added, “The week before the due date, all I wanted to do was talk about my baby, but I also felt I shouldn’t. I was working non-stop and I had all this inside my head. I have therapy on and off but at that time it really helped me. Then I started to deal with it and move on. I still get sad. I still think. I don’t mark (what would have been) my baby’s birth but it’s always there. It changed a lot.”

Joss Stone has taken a nasty dig at Lily Allen, calling her a “personality” rather than a singer.

Stone decided to take her frustrations out on Allen after Allen spearheaded a campaign against illegal file sharing. Stone insists that artists should just accept that they don’t need to earn a lot of money to enjoy what they’re doing. She added that Allen only started the campaign so that she could earn the brunt of her money on CD sales, instead of live concerts.

She said, “She needs to sell records because she’s not a singer, and that’s not an offense to her because I think she knows that, too. I think she’s a performer and she’s more of a personality than she is a singer. But I think when musicians are really making real music, people come to the show and that’s what we make our money from, from playing live. And I think it’s probably harder for an artist like Lily and any other pop acts. It’s really about the track and about their personality and their celebrity and that’s how they make their money is selling those records….Who said that musicians have to be millionaires? Who made this a rule? We don’t need that much money. We just don’t. We only need enough to make music and to eat and to go on tour.”

Lily Allen says that taking drugs is fun and that she’s not ashamed of it. It’s been said in the past that Lily was a fan of cocaine, but it wasn’t from a reliable source. Later, she said it was a ridiculous claim, so if this source is inaccurate, we’ll be hearing from Lily soon enough.

She said, “I think the way I behave is normal for someone my age and in my situation. I know a lot of guys in bands who go to awards ceremonies and get into the same sort of states that I get myself into, and that’s not negatively reported on. So it feels kind of unjust.”

As far as drugs are concerned, Lily added, “I think as long as you’re not being malicious and you’re not hurting people then you should not be ashamed of what you do. I’ve taken drugs. I found them and find them fun and I don’t think I’m a bad person because of it.”

Interesting. Be on the lookout soon for a statement clarifying her meaning soon. The way this statement was worded, she could’ve been talking about sex or drinking.

Lily Allen is reportedly ready to take a break from singing to try out theater in the West End.

She is said to be starring in a play in London after being offered the lead role in “Reasons To Be Pretty”.

She says, “I’m not going to record and tour again for quite a while. I finish up my gig dates in March and I’ll be ready to do something else. I’ve been on the road for four years and I’ve given my voice a real run for its money. I’m struggling, so I’m going to try something new.”

She’s already signed up for acting lessons and is preparing for her debut in the play.

You go girl. I’d love to see Lily doing something different and this seems like it’s right up her alley. Kudos to her for branching out.

Lily Allen is said to be jealous of other successful female singers. She says that she finds it hard to hear other people’s excitement over newer successful female artists, because she thinks she’ll get left behind.

She says, “I get pangs of jealousy when I hear people like radio presenters getting really excited about new music. I kind of feel like, ‘Oh, I’m just fading.’ I don’t feel I am in competition with all the other girls. I really feel this is the year of the girl, with La Roux and Little Boots and Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine. Who I really love is La Roux. She’s a friend as well. I find it quite difficult getting on with a lot of my female competitors but I really, really like her.”
