Larry King hosted a star-studded, two-hour special edition of his “Larry King Live” on CNN — “Haiti: How You Can Help” — Monday evening, focusing on the post-earthquake crisis in Haiti and how we can help. From Jennifer Lopez and Paula Abdul to Mick Jagger and Ben Stiller, many A-List stars lent their wattage to help this dire situation. For more information on what you can do to help, click Here and Here. “It’s been six days since the quake, and it’s only going to get worse,” said King, who revealed that there have been a reported 150,000 deaths as a result of the massive disaster. Over the course of Larry’s two-hour broadcast, UNICEF and the Red Cross raised approximately $5 million. “I’ve been watching at home with my family and have been incredibly moved and saddened by everything that has happened,” said Lopez. “It’s daunting. It just feels so huge, and you just want to do anything you can and I urge everybody to do the same. … Every little bit helps.” “The overwhelming despair and families not knowing who’s alive, not being able to account for [people], it’s just [sad],” said Paula. “It’s the most helpless feeling. There’s so much that you wish you could do. … It’s so overwhelming.” Anderson Cooper and Dr. Sanjay Gupta reported in from the chaos in Haiti, while Ryan Seacrest, Tea Leoni, Joel Madden, Nicole Richie, Snoop Dogg, Sarah Ferguson and Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas weighed in on how to help. “The need is immediate,” said Seacrest. “They need help right now.” “When these terrible disasters happen in a very poor place, the result is magnified. …This is a huge, massive disaster for one of the poorest countries,” said Jagger, adding, “It’s very gratifying to see such an outpouring of help from many countries.” Former “NYPD Blue” star Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon, who has many relatives in the impoverished nation, was unable to contact them and came to ET to plea for help, revealed, “My cousins are okay. My aunt is still missing, but my cousins are okay.” “It’s sad watching the outcome of the earthquake and seeing people suffering with no place to go,” said Will.i.am. “It’s important for humanity — for love, life — you have to help.” “The children of Haiti before this crisis were already in a dire situation,” said Leoni. “I think the only way to handle this is to look forward. … When I see the images of these kids, it’s obviously very difficult. … I’m kind of speechless.” Benicio Del Toro, Christian Slater, Jeff Probst, Alyssa Milano, David Spade, Susan Sarandon, Ashley Judd, Maria Bello, Danny Glover, Russell Simmons, Molly Sims, Jared Leto and Pete Wentz were just a handful of the many stars manning phones to raise funds and chatting online/Tweeting with users to guide them through what they can do to help the situation. John Mayer and Seal delivered heartfelt performances, and some stars also showed ways that money can be used to buy products that filter and purify drinking water. “Clean water is key,” said Joel Madden. “They don’t have clean water access.” Watch “The Insider” for more news on the crisis in Haiti.

This weekend’s installment of Saturday Night Live featured a skit that lampooned the late night showdown between NBC vets Conan O’Brien and Jay Leno.

SNL opened Saturday’s show with a sketch featuring cast member Bill Hader as O’Brien and Darrell Hammond as Leno, brought together on CNN’s Larry King Live. Jason Sudeikis also made a cameo as a gleeful David Letterman, who kept throwing pencils at the camera.

FYI, Avatar star Sigourney Weaver’s dad, former NBC president Pat Weaver, created both The TODAY Show and The Tonight Show for the network more than 60 years ago. How fitting that she was host of this week’s SNL!

 Larry King Carrie Prejean

Carrie Prejean appeared on Larry King Live last night and got defensive QUICKLY!  Prejean agreed to appear on the show to talk about her new book Still Standing.  However, she didn’t like the line of questioning by Larry King, who asked about the reason for her recent settlement with the Miss California USA pageant.  (side note: Prejean did the exact same thing on The View).

According to reports, pageant organizers got ahold of a sex tape that they threatened to leak.  This “sex tape” was made by Prejean for a boyfriend when she was a teenager (allededly 17-years-old).  People speculate that Prejean backed away from her lawsuit to keep the tape from going public.

Larry King asked Prejean, “Why settle since you had a fight to carry on?”  Prejean answered, “Larry, it’s completely confidential and you’re being inappropriate.  Yeah, I think you are being extremely inappropriate right now, and I’m about to leave your show.”

Prejean removed her mic shortly after Larry took a viewer call from a man who announed, “Hi, I’m a gay man and I love pageants.”  Prejean agreed prior to the show she would NOT be open to taking any on air phone calls.  So, King pretty much pulled his weight around with her, and she reacted.

Prejean CLEARLY settled the lawsuit because she was a skank whore that made a sex tape.  Some fine Christian woman she is!  She was CLEARLY having sex before marriage – isn’t that a SIN!?!  She acts like a 14-year-old girl throwing a tantrum when she doesn’t get her way!  I hope NOBODY buys her stupid book.  She is losing fans quickly!  I think it’s about time her 15 minutes are UP!  BTW: How was Larry being inappropriate? He simply asked a serious question!  She is a complete dumbass!

Donald Trump, owner of the Miss Universe Organization, is sharing his thoughts on Carrie Prejean’s explosive appearance on Wednesday night’s “Larry King Live.” In a new interview with HLN’s “Showbiz Tonight” that airs tonight, Trump reacts to Prejean’s interview, saying, “Well, I actually was watching. I am a big fan of Larry King and I was watching this and I was very surprised to see it because she was talking about how inappropriate [Larry King] was.” “‘Inappropriate’ is more of a sexual term, as far as I’m concerned,” Trump went on to say. “I mean — inappropriate? He asked a very, very easy question and I was surprised that she just didn’t say, ‘Hey, listen, I can’t answer that question.’ Instead she wants to walk off the stage? It was very surprising.” Earlier Thursday, the executive director of Miss California USA released a statement to ET saying that after Prejean’s bizarre interview with Larry King on Wednesday night, he believes “the public is finally getting a glimpse of the real [former Miss California] who lives in her own delusional world.” Trump’s interview airs on HLN tonight at 11 p.m. ET/PT.

In an interview with Larry King last night, Carrie Prejean told the host: “Sarah Palin is my hero.”

Incredibly, however, that was NOT the most ridiculous thing Prejean did or said during the segment!

Before throwing a fit and acting like a six-year old, Carrie expounded on her admiration for Palin. She said she admired the former governor’s “strength and her courage,” adding that Palin would “make a great President.”

But Prejean also said Palin is “smart enough to get out of” politics. Indeed, why make a supposedly great President and help your country when you can earn money from speeches and books instead?

From there, Carrie took hypocrisy to a new level, even for herself: asked why she settled her lawsuit with the Miss California Pageant, Prejean refused to discuss the matter in any way, referring to King’s question as “inappropriate.”

Did Prejean forget that she had just spoken at length to Sean Hannity about her masturbation tape?

What made King’s inquiries “inappropriate,” yet Hannity’s questioning completely welcome? We wonder if it had anything to do with the fact that Hannity penned the foreword for Carrie’s book.

Prejean proceeded to take off her microphone and sit in the studio, pouting like a child. She’s seen talking to handlers off-camera, unaware how to even storm out of an interview properly without direction from her PR staff.

It’s a must-watch video for critics and supporters alike. To the latter, we must ask: how on earth do you defend this awful human being?

Earlier today, we saw Rihanna on Good Morning America recalling her assault at the hands of Chris Brown, and how difficult it was for her to break the cycle.

Asked about Rihanna last night on Larry King Live, Mariah Carey admitted she’s faced her own difficult relationships, and that “abuse has several categories.”

“[I have been abused] Emotionally, mentally,” Mariah said in response to King’s query of whether she had ever faced a situation similar to that of Rihanna.

Not unlike her battered counterpart, Carey says the hardest part was breaking free from ex-husband Tommy Mottola, whom she doesn’t mention by name.

Check out a clip of Mariah Carey on Larry King below

“You get into a situation and you feel locked in,” she said.

“For me, to really get out was extremely difficult because there was connection that was not only a marriage, but a business thing where the person was completely in control of my life. I was in a situation where I wasn’t let out of the house.”

When asked for her thoughts on Rihanna’s struggles, she reacts the way many of us have: “Yikes,” she says, “I can’t even imagine what she went through.”

Carey isn’t the only one to broach the topic of emotional abuse lately.

Hailey Glassman, Jon Gosselin’s now-ex-girlfriend, made a similar allegeation against the d-bag around the time of their split. It’s not something to take lightly.

There are now three women who hold an influential place in Tyra Banks‘ heart. In an interview on “Larry King Live,” Larry asked Tyra about her thoughts of Michelle Obama. She said that after hearing the first lady speak, “I just sat there and teared up, and I called my mom, and I said, ‘No offense, but Oprah Winfrey’s my role model, you’re my role model, and I have a new one.’ I find her to be the epitome of elegance, of class.” The host of “America’s Next Top Model” praised Mrs. Obama’s sense of style. She said, “I love the fact that she pushes the envelope on what the narrow box is of what a first lady is supposed to look like.” Tyra once got to pose as the first lady in a Harper’s Bazaar spread, in which she was part of an ensemble that recreated the Obama family in the Oval Office. Plus, Tyra adds, “Her hair is fantastic.” Tyra has been focusing on hair a lot lately. On the season premiere of her talk show, the model revealed her real, natural hair. The experience “felt so liberating. I have worn fake hair since I was 17 years old,” she confessed to Larry. Tyra also commented on some other recent entertainment headlines. She believes that Chris Brown’s incident of domestic violence, in which he injured his then-girlfriend Rihanna, is a result of witnessing domestic violence in his household growing up. Tyra learned about this subject by covering it on “The Tyra Banks Show.” She said, “We do know that it is a cycle…When you experience something there is a large chance that you are going to become the perpetrator.” Though she may feel sympathy for Chris for being a victim, his actions do not “excuse the fate of somebody else.” Kanye West made headlines last week after interrupting Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the “MTV Video Music Awards.” Tyra admitted to not watching the episode live on TV, but did watch it online after receiving texts from friends. She watched Kanye address the incident on the premiere of “The Jay Leno Show.” In response, she told Larry, “I found it interesting that he was so honest and said that he has some issues and he needs to figure out something to do with what his life is all about for him.” Tyra expressed that she was proud of Taylor for handling the situation so gracefully at such a young age.
