- Taylor Swift’s six-times-platinum Fearless has become the most awarded country album in history. The 20-year-old star was honored by her label earlier this week, as she scored her 10th consecutive Top 10 Hot Country Song.

Singer/actress Janet Jackson will visit The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on March 18, Access Hollywood
said Thursday. According to NBC spies, Janet is expected to chat up her role in the new Tyler Perry comedy-drama Why Did I Get Married Too. The appearance will be the star’s second interview on network TV since the death of her brother Michael last summer after sitting down with ABC’s Robin Roberts in November.

Ms. Jackson has a confession: She loves Gossip Girl and thinks Chace Crawford is a total dreamboat. After all, who doesn’t? The “Escapade” singer recently revealed that she’s a big fan of The CW’s teen soap and was thrilled when she got to meet the show’s 24-year-old leading man at the MTV Video Music Awards last summer.
“I love ‘Gossip Girl’. I love the whole cast. And it’s so weird because I ended up meeting Chace Crawford. He’s beautiful. And the thing about it is, in person he’s even more beautiful. When you see him on the screen, he’s really good looking, but then you meet him in person,” the delighted 43-year-old recalls in the March issue of Wonderland Magazine. “We met at a bar, someone brought him over. It was after I did the tribute to my brother Michael at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs). We talked for a minute.”

Okay, you might say it’s a little heavy on the airbrushing, but Janet Jackson still looks great on the new cover of Gotham magazine. We’re big fans of Janet.
While a somewhat odd choice for the cover of the magazine’s wedding issue (she is newly single after splitting with Jermaine Dupri), we have no complaints.
Janet has a new album out, and a new perspective on life. Following a tragic year for her family, who bid farewell to Michael, she’s finally ready to move on.
We have no doubt that she will. Janet has always seemed remarkably normal and well-adjusted compared to most members of her famous family. You go girl …
Miss Jackson moves on. We can’t wait to follow.

Five months after Michael Jackson’s death, Janet Jackson finally opened up her thoughts with Robin Roberts in a recent interview on the show “In the Spotlight”. Janet was probably the closest to the late King of Pop among the Jackson family members. In a summary, she said how none of the family knew that Michael’s drug addiction had gone that far. Furthermore, she placed blame on Dr. Conrad Murray, saying the doctor should no longer be allowed to practice medicine.
“He was the one that was administering,” she told ABC’s Robin Roberts. “I think he is responsible.”
Michael Jackson’s personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, remains the focus of a manslaughter investigation into the pop star’s death. Murray has admitted to administering the anesthetic propofol, but has denied giving Michael anything that should have killed him.
The last time Janet said that she saw Michael alive, was a few days before her birthday. Jackson recounted the details of the morning of June 25, before she learned that Michael had collapsed, and her world turned upside down. Janet said that she was at her house in New York. She tried to call everyone, including LaToya, Tito and her mother Katherine, to get more information.
“It’s been a tough year,” she said. “You have your days where it’s just really — it’s hard to believe. And a day doesn’t go by that I don’t think about him.”

The Jackson family tried to stop Michael Jackson’s addiction to prescription drugs by staging interventions, Janet Jackson said on Good Morning America today.
“Of course, that’s what you do,” the youngest member of the Jackson family said in an interview. “Those are the things that you do when you love someone.”
“You can’t just let them continue on that way. We tried that more than a few times,” says Janet, who laments that ultimately, “We weren’t very successful.”
The singer says Michael Jackson responded in a measured way to his family’s attempts to help. “He understood that it was out of love, out of caring.”
She refutes critics’ claims that the family was naive about Michael’s problems or enabled the icon. Nevertheless, she admits, “People can be in denial.”
Janet Jackson continues to speak out about her brother’s death.
When ABC’s Robin Roberts went to ask a follow-up question about Michael being in denial, she replies, “I wish he could answer this question. And not me.”
Jackson said she is a “big believer in the power of prayer, but that’s something you can’t do for them … it’s something they have to do for themselves.”
Growing up, Janet says of her eight siblings, she was closest to “Mike.” The last time they spent time together was “a few days before my birthday,” May 16.
“We had a lot of fun laughing. He was cracking up … Laughing at me.”
Michael Jackson tragically passed away June 25. Earlier this week, Janet said she believes Dr. Conrad Murray should be held responsible for his death.
On a personal note, Janet also put the kibosh on rumors that she’s getting back together with Jermaine Dupri, though the two remain very close.

Despite reports that Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri are getting back together, the singer referred to Dupri as her “ex” in an interview on Atlanta’s The Bert Show.
That doesn’t mean they’re not close still. While chatting with the radio show, Jackson included Dupri on the short list of ex-boyfriends with whom she keeps in touch.
“I’m not the type of girl that stays in touch with your ex,” Janet Jackson said. “But Jermaine is one of my best friends. I love him to death. We’re still connected.”
“We’re still good friends. We still talk.”
Jermaine Dupri and Janet Jackson remain broken up, but tight.
It has been a tough year for Jackson since her brother Michael’s death in June – which she blamed on Dr. Conrad Murray during an interview with ABC this week.
A month after MJ died, she and Dupri broke off their eight-year relationship. They reportedly reunited in September for Dupri’s birthday in Lake Como, Italy.
“There is a still a lot of love there,” a friend of the couple said, and for once, this anonymous Us Weekly source may not be too far off the mark at all.
“We’re absolutely still there for one another,” Jackson said.
“I think it will remain that way for the rest of my life.”
