Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart, who welcomed their first child last week, spent a bit of time getting to know their daughter before revealing her name.
Now they picked one: Billie Beatrice Dane. Cute!
The Grey’s Anatomy star and his actress wife previously said they wanted to “wait to see [the baby]” before picking a name. Gotta get it right, after all.
“You want to make sure that the name sticks.”

Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart have disclosed the name of their newborn daughter.
The couple tells PEOPLE Magazine that the baby girl born in Los Angeles last week will be called Billie Beatrice.
Interesting choice….
Last month, Eric and Rebecca discussed names for their arrival, but the actor told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres that he and the ’90s Noxzema Girl wanted to meet the little one first, to make sure the name they chose was a good fit.
“We have one [name] we really like, but Rebecca wants to wait until she sees her before we give her the name….”
Interestingly enough, Eric’s Grey’s character, Dr. Mark “McSteamy” Sloan, has spent the last several episodes meeting his pregnant adult daughter, played by actress Leven Rambin.

McSteamy is now McDaddy. Eric Dane and his wife, Rebecca Gayheart, are new parents to a baby girl. The little cutie is the couple’s first child together!
The couple’s daughter arrived on Wednesday in Los Angeles, the couple’s rep Nanci Ryder said. “Mother, father and daughter are doing great,” said Ryder.
A name has not yet been released, but the Grey’s Anatomy star had previously said Gayheart wanted to meet the baby before making a final decision.
“I’m really excited,” Dane told Ellen DeGeneres in an interview airing last month. “I’m just going to stay close to my wife and make sure she is all right.”
A pair of proud, attractive parents.
Dane and Gayheart, who wed in Vegas in 2004, revealed they were having a girl in December, just a few months after the Eric Dane nude tape release.
Congratulations to the happy couple!

Grey’s Anatomy doc Eric Dane and his wife Rebecca Gayheart are celebrating parenthood this Hump Day — the former Noxzema spokesmodel gave birth to a healthy baby girl in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon.
The child is the first for Eric and Rebecca, who married in Las Vegas in 2004.

Rebecca Gayheart and Eric Dane’s McBaby will be a girl.
The Grey’s Anatomy star, who will also be guest starring on Private Practice January 14, and his wife confirmed they were expecting first child in November.
The couple, who tied the knot five years ago, haven’t said much publicly about their baby-to-be, but they have expressed desire to start a family in the recent past.
“We’ve always wanted to be parents,” Gayheart said.
“I think that without a doubt, Eric is going to be the most wonderful dad, and hopefully I’ll be a good mom too. We’re absolutely looking forward to it.”
GREAT DANE NEWS: Eric and Rebecca are having a girl!
She is reportedly due in March, and buzz that Dane got Rebecca Gayheart pregnant came at a good time for the couple, after the year they just went through.
They ended the summer with some bad press after the release of that Eric Dane nude tape, which was originally being called a sex tape, albeit without sex.
He was frolicking with Rebecca and Kari Anne Peniche, also nude.

Super cute couple Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart were spotted taking a stroll around Beverly Hills this weekend. The couple looked to have done some jewelry shopping and Rebecca, taking advantage of the cooler weather, tried to use an oversized scarf to cover her expanding tummy!
Eric and Rebecca have been married since 2004 and announced in September that they’re expecting their first child after successful fertility treatments.
The couple were also caught up in a controversial video tape leak a couple of months ago with “fallen beauty queen” Kari Ann Peniche.
Dane is currently working on Grey’s Anatomy as Dr. Mark Sloan, and has a movie, “Valentine’s Day,” due out next year. Rebecca is working on “For Better or For Worse,” also due out sometime next year.
