Actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan has signed on for ‘The Unblinking Eye,’ a psychological thriller directed and written by Michael Bassett.
The story follows homicide detective John Callisto (Morgan), now a retired recluse after being nearly murdered by a serial killer, who’s tracked down by a relentless journalist. Dark secrets from both of their pasts come to light.
Hmmm, not a lot to go on there. I have to wonder if his character will end up dead, though, since he seems to gravitate towards “dead guy” roles. I just started watching The CW’s ‘Supernatural’ on DVD, and am wondering if his dad character is actually dead (don’t tell me!).
And of course, there was his dead guy on ‘Watchmen’ and ‘Grey’s Anatomy.’ Anyway, we’ll see how ‘The Unblinking Eye’ pans out. Bassett doesn’t have a ton of projects to his credit, but he did direct ‘Solomon Kane,’ ‘Wilderness,’ and ‘Deathwatch.’
It’s set to start shooting in May.

Dean Sheremet is making his split from LeAnn Rimes official. The former backup dancer filed for divorce from the singer in papers filed Dec. 17. He cites irreconcilable differences for the split. Sheremet, 29, is asking Rimes, 27, to pay attorney fees and spousal support.
In October, the couple released statement announcing their split amid reports that LeAnn became romantically involved with actor Eddie Cibrian when they co-starred in the Lifetime movie Northern Lights earlier this year. Cibrian filed for divorce from model wife Brandi Glanville in August.
Dean and LeAnn wed in 2002 when the country singer was 19.

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott not in love?! Perhaps, Candy Spelling is behind this!
In this week’s Star Magazine, Michael Olifiers, a friend of Dean McDermott, opens up and says Dean is only with Tori for the money and fame! Olifiers says, “There is no question Dean is with Tori for the money and the fame. Dean’s always been desperate to become famous. He craved being in the spotlight and Tori’s his ticket to that life.”
When Dean met Tori on the set of some Lifetime movie, it apparently wasn’t love at first sight for Dean. Apparently, the night before Dean had a kissing scene with Tori he told Olifiers he wasn’t thrilled. Olifiers claims Dean said, ”I can’t believe I have to kiss her. She looks like a horse!”
Michael Olifiers also claims that Dean talked Tori out of a pre-nup. Dean thought Tori would inherit millions when her father, Aaron Spelling, died; however, he was “livid” when she didn’t inherit those millions.
Olifiers also says that Tori and Dean are only together because they make a living from their reality show, “They do everything and anything to make money from their fame.”
Tori has already headed to Twitter to stop these “vicious lies!” On September 1st, Tori posted: Just got word tht STAR Mag WillB running a story tomorrow about my “Loveless Marriage” R they kiddin? DON’T believe! Uggh.Hate tabloid lies!
Tori followed up with another Tweet: Dean&I read STAR 2gthr&were grossed out@uncreative lies but made us appreciateR life&love more&made us sad4those tht spread lies.Bad Mo Jo!
A couple of things: Who the hell is this Michael Olifiers?? Some friend he is!! I don’t really believe this story. I mean even if Dean wasn’t crazy about Tori from minute one, that doesn’t mean they aren’t totally crazy about each other now. I’m gonna have to side with Tori and Dean on this one! LeAnn Rimes has been separated from her husband of seven years, Dean Sheremet, a source close to the couple tells Usmagazine.com.

Actors Hilary Swank and Jeffrey Dean Morgan are currently filming "The Resident" in New York City, and I’ve got a couple of on-set images below.
The thriller follows a young doctor (Swank) who suspects she may not be alone in her new Brooklyn loft. She soon learns that her landlord is obsessed with her. Scheduled for a 2010 release, the movie is directed by Antti J. Jokinen and also stars Christopher Lee.
Hey, it’s nice to see Jeffrey Dean Morgan playing something besides a dead guy, and Swank is great with the dramatic roles. Should be a good pairing.

LeAnn Rimes and Dean Sheremet, who she married back in 2001, may be on the verge of splitting up, according to new reports published by In Touch Weekly.
Signing autographs for country music fans at the Nashville Convention Center on June 14, the singing star looked as if there was nowhere she’d rather be.
But 20 miles away at the couple’s house in Franklin, Tenn., her husband, dancer Dean Sheremet, was reportedly not in a good mood at all.
According to an insider close to the couple, LeAnn, 26, has told him that she is ready to file for divorce – and that she’s ready to leave him.
She is said to long for her married Lifetime movie co-star Eddie Cibrian.
“Dean is completely distraught and heartbroken,” says an insider.

Rimes and Cibrian were tied to one another earlier this year in a cheating scandal that many believed was merely a PR stunt for their movie.
However, just last month, Cibrian’s wife, Brandi Glanville, bashed Rimes for “stalking” her husband and implied she was obsessed with him.
LeAnn responded that she is no stalker, laughed off the accusation and said that Brandi was defaming her in a shameless bid for attention.
But are LeAnn and Dean headed down the road to divorce? It’s not the first time the lovebirds’ relationship has hit a rough patch. Stay tuned.

So there are certain things you read that once you have them in your brain, you really can’t UNread them. They are in there, like the theme song to Barney, and will NEVER EVER LEAVE.
The following gossip tidbit is one of those things. You have been warned!
Apparently, Tori Spelling asked husband Dean to shave her mysterious lady parts while she was pregnant, because she couldn’t see what was going on down there. Here’s what she had to say:
“I wasn’t prepared for losing sight of my lower region. I’d say, ‘Dean, how’s it looking down there? Do I need to shave?’ But of course I couldn’t shave. So Dean had to shave me. He’d hold up a mirror and say ‘How’d I do?’ Or he’d take a picture with his Blackberry to show me.”
Yes, and how long until the pictures on his Blackberry are hijacked, hmm? Anyway, it’s not a big deal – doesn’t EVERYONE trim their pregnant friends? I know I do. Heck, they’re lined up around the block in my town.
