Teen sensation Justin Bieber was forced to cut an in-store appearance in Paris, France short on Monday after obsessed thousands of fans descended on the venue.
The “One Less Lonely Girl” singer appearing at a shop in the French capital, but authorities weren’t expecting such a big crowd and told Bieber to leave the venue so they could control the waiting fans. It’s not the first time Bieber’s popularity has caused problems: in November, a Bieber CD signing in Long Island, New York descended into chaos after thousands of fans converged on the Roosevelt Field Mall in hopes of catching a glimpse of the crooner.
In a post on his Twitter.com blog, the song wrote: “Paris is crazy! Had some interviews this morning with mags (magazines) and radio. Got to practice my French a little. But then the in-store (appearance)… there were thousands of kids at the in-store and the police were not expecting it. They reorganized the crowd and we got it going but after a little while the police stopped it and came in and said it was over and I had to leave. Sorry to any of the kids I didn’t get to meet….I love all of you for your support. To start my trip in Paris like this already, the love and the energy is amazing. Thank you so much.”

Jessica Simpson — AKA “Sexual Napalm” — is headed to The Oprah Winfrey Show next month to promote the series premiere of her eight-part VH1 docuseries The Price of Beauty, and The Gossip Wire is atwitter with whispers that the dimwitted singer/sometime actress will also use the occasion to break her silence on some of John Mayer’s loose-lipped banter about their sex life in his recent interview with Playboy Magazine.
John – who dated Jessica for nine months before splitting in May 2007 – has reportedly attempted to make amends with his ex-girlfriend, but his efforts have so far been unable to win over her manager dad. A furious Joe Simpson reportedly lambasted the “Gravity” singer over his recent comments about the busty blonde in a tense phone call last week.

James Madison University can’t handle The Snookster!
Tanned-to-a-tangerine MTV docusoap star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is scheduled to appear at Virginia’s JAMU on March 3, but the latest in a series of promotional appearances for the self-appointed “Princess of Poughkeepsie” is creating a Facebook firestorm.
In what is being billed the Jersey Shore diva’s debut appearance at the popular public institution, Snooki is scheduled to be interviewed by a comedian and participate in a Q&A session. However, everyone won’t be welcoming the Mini-Sausage to the Commonwealth with open arms. The pint-sized reality personality’s scheduled appearance prompted a bevy of racist comments and threats of violence from members of the student body last week that forced the university’s student run organization overseeing the event to step in.
Steven Eure, director of public relations of the University Board which arranged the event, told RadarOnline.com Friday: “The Facebook page became a place where students wrote positive comments about the violent guy that punched Snooki and how she deserved it. Their comments were cruel not only about Snooki but also directed toward the students that were excited that Snooki was coming.”
Jersey Shore, which debuted its first episode in December, followed eight housemates as they spent their summer in a summer share in Seaside Heights. The controversial show went on to become the most successful in the network’s history. A second season of Jersey Shore is expected to debut this June.

Anger brews as ABC’s Good Morning America forges ahead with a planned appearance by convicted woman beater Chris Brown jut days after cancelling a live performance by another controversial performer —openly gay ex-American Idol Adam Lambert, The New York Post dished in a report on Thursday. The network is invoking the ire of women and gay groups for helping the Rihanna-attacker promote his new album while it canned Lambert’s live show after the glam rocker put on a sexually-charged, homoerotic performance at the 2009 American Music Awards. The Post claims feminist and gay activists are puzzled by the idea that a violent convicted abuser is more morning-show friendly than a gay man.
In two weeks, the “Kiss Kiss” crooner will give a pre-taped tell-all interview to Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts, followed by a performance of songs from his new album, Graffiti, due out December 8.
“The network is giving a mixed message — that it doesn’t trust someone who shocked with an unpredictable show and a gay kiss, but then it is happy to go ahead with Chris Brown, who was convicted of felony assault,” an ABC source told The Post.
However, another network snitch claims critics are talking apples when the subject is oranges, insisting it was not Adam’s sexuality that got him booted from GMA, but rather, the fact that he, “showed himself to be unpredictable on live TV.”
“Chris Brown’s interview was booked way before Adam Lambert took to the stage. It is to give him a chance to respond to Rihanna’s interview. The possibility of him performing a song will be worked out next week.”

With three days to go until the Video Music Awards, MTV announced that Eminem will also appear on the show in a “special appearance.” Details are sketchy regarding Eminem’s role—Janet Jackson will also make a “special appearance” in a tribute to her brother Michael, so the term denotes something more than a standard performance—but the last time Slim Shady made a “special appearance” on MTV, he was at the butt end of a Bruno gag, literally. Maybe Eminem will exact revenge on some unprepared member of the audience? Maybe he’ll debut a track from his upcoming Relapse 2? We’ll find out live September 13th when the VMAs invade New York’s Radio City Music Hall.
MTV also revealed that Alicia Keys will join Jay-Z when Hova debuts his The Blueprint 3 song “Empire State of Mind” for the VMA audience. A whole cavalcade of presenters were also announced, including Megan Fox, Jimmy Fallon, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, 50 Cent, Jack Black, Andy Samberg, Kristin Cavallari, Pete Wentz, Gerard Butler, Tracy Morgan, Adam Brody, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Alexa Chung, Gabe Saporta of Cobra Starship and Justin Bieber.
As Rolling Stone previously reported, the VMAs will also include performances by Green Day, Beyoncé, Muse, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Wale and Pink, trailers for This Is It and New Moon, the Jackson tribute, Russell Brand’s controversial hosting plus hints of Britney Spears’ possible involvement. Hillary Clinton has canceled a meeting Thursday with Angelina Jolie after breaking her elbow.
“On the way to the White House late this afternoon, Secretary Clinton fell and suffered a right elbow fracture,” her chief of staff Cheryl Mills said in a statement overnight. “She was treated at The George Washington University Hospital before heading home.”
Clinton will have surgery next week.
