No one…no ONE…NO ONE…can get in the way of Alicia’s chicness. She knows it, so she tweeted this pic from her Vogue shoot whilst surrounded by non-dangerous light sabers.

What is Vogue trying to SAY with this image? Is Alicia channeling Star Wars? Unclear.

Even though Kings Of Leon don’t want to work with British singer Leona Lewis, they might be keen on hooking up in the studio with R&B queen Alicia Keys.

On her followup album to “The Element Of Freedom”, Keys says that she wants to give the album a rock and roll twist, by working with Kings Of Leon.

She says, “Working with other people is definitely something I want to do more of. I love it a lot. It takes me out of my element into a whole other world. I’d love to collaborate with Kings Of Leon and M.I.A. I think it would be crazy.”

I would love to hear an Alicia Keys/Kings Of Leon collaboration, not so much M.I.A., though.

Nathan Followill previously denied reports of a Leona Lewis collaboration, saying, “Contrary to reports out there Kings Of Leon are not writing or recording with Leona Lewis. No offense to her.”

Would they be so quick to shrug off these rumors?

Rumors on the Internets suggest that Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz are secretly engaged. Anyone believe that gossip? Anyone hear of Swizz Beatz before?

Well, he’s dating Alicia Keys, and the singer apparently had a lot to smile about on her 29th birthday January 25 when he got her an engagement ring.

That’s what the rumor is, anyway.

Swizz Beatz, a 31-year-old producer who is still married to (and currently divorcing) his wife Mashonda, supposedly proposed with a 7-carat sparkler.

Either he or the made-up source has good taste!

Are Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz getting married?

The happy couple were photographed strolling on a Hawaii beach the day of the alleged proposal, January 24. Keys’ rep denies she is engaged, but …

Another friend of Alicia’s reveals to Us that the couple is “currently in Hawaii celebrating the engagement and her birthday. She feels blessed.”

Adds the pal: “She is so thrilled. She is with the man who has inspired so much of her music and her new album [The Element of Freedom].”

Engaged nor not, Swizz Beatz is equally smitten with Keys. “What we have is so precious,” he gushed to the New York Daily News last year.

Congratulations, possibly!

Here’s an odd video of Charles Barkley doing his best impression of Alicia Keys. Seeing Charles Barkley in a wig with big hoops earrings takes me back to a really really bad acid trip I had in college…where’s my mommy when I need her.

After making Hot 100 history last week, Ke$ha — who’s primed to be one of the breakout pop stars of 2010 — releases her debut album Animal this week. Bolstered by the hit “TiK ToK,” the 22-year-old Nashville native recruits pop gurus Max Martin and Dr. Luke for her rookie LP, which features Ke$ha’s bratty raps over percolating beats and buzzing basslines. In his three-star Rolling Stone review of Animal, Jody Rosen writes that the album is “repulsive, obnoxious and ridiculously catchy,” thanks to Katy Perry-esque mix of songs like “Party at a Rich Dude’s House.” Still, Ke$ha promises to be an electro force to be reckoned this year. “Fear for the future of civilization, and dance,” Rosen writes.

Also in the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone, on stands tomorrow, we review a handful of records that were released during the holiday crush of 2009. For starters, there’s Alicia Keys’ The Element of Freedom, which received a three-star review from RS‘ Rob Sheffield. The main problem on this disc is that Keys doesn’t sound like the cocky singer we’ve come to know since her debut; the production compresses her voice, and “a great tune like the breakup blues of ‘Love Is Blind’ can make you a little hungry to hear Alicia Keys sing it,” Sheffield writes. There are highlights, however, and they come in the form of Prince homages “Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart” and “This Bed.”

As for Mary J. Blige, her Stronger With Each Tear earned a three-and-a-half star review from Sheffield. Blige also plays with Auto-Tune on her latest album — despite Jay-Z proclaiming the death of the studio trick — but those experiments work in the diva’s favor on Stronger, especially in the case of Stargate/Ne-Yo jam “I Feel Good.” “One of the reasons fans get so obsessive about Blige is that she wrestles with self-doubt, pushing herself to prove she’s good enough, long after her music settled that question for everyone else,” Sheffield writes. “So it makes sense for Blige to try on some new outfits.”
