Tough times for toys in Iran!

Last month, we heard the unfortunate news that Iranian "morality police" have been trying to ban the sale of Barbie dolls in their country.

Now, we've learned that Iran has placed a ban on the sale of Simpsons toys as well!

Here's what Iranian official Mohammad Hossein Farjoo had to say about it:

"The Simpsons dolls are merchandise from an animated series, of which some episodes are even banned in Europe and America."

"We do not want to promote this cartoon by importing the toys."

And more from Farjoo:

"Imports of all kinds of dolls that display full adult figures are banned because they promote Western culture."

While we understand that The Simpsons aren't necessarily positive role models for children, it definitely makes us nervous that Iran is continuing to ban toys/dolls in their country.

It sounds like this is going to become an increasingly big issue as time goes on.

We think that ship has sailed!

The Great White Way will be making way for a not-so-white wedding as a new musical based on the 1992 Honeymoon In Vegas is on the way. The film version starred Nicolas Cage and Sarah Jessica Parker as a young couple on the verge of getting hitched in Sin City before a wealthy Vegas man named Tommy Korman, played in the film by James Caan, tries to thwart their plans.

While the actors to play the not-so-happy couple have yet to be announced (we are hearing that T.R. Knight was at the workshop for this though), Tony Danza has been pegged for the meddler's role, which isn't so much of a stretch, but when we start thinking about Tony singing and dancing surrounded by glittering Vegas lights ...

Yeah, we're cringing a bit over here. Sorry! Is there some reason why "new" Broadway shows keep getting adapted from B-movies? What is that about???

The creator of Jersey Shore, SallyAnn Salsano, has partnered with the network to bring us Southie Pride.

It's a working title.

Unfortunately, the lovely ladies of the spoof won't be a part of the series.

Police arrested the guy but the bank employees thought two apple pies looked like bombs?

Ladyhawke is on fire!!

Her Black White & Blue music video, directed by Tabitha Denholm, is such a beautiful interpretation of the 1978 film Eyes of Laura Mars.

Set at a high-end fashion shoot, we see Ladyhawke sing "on and on through the night and the milky way, it's black and white & blue for you-oo-oou" as she watches the glamorous models through her camera lens.

We're absolutely loving the cinematography of this one. Everything is so classy and pretty... or is it???

We're just glad that Gwyneth was able to move on from her cheater ex-BF...whoever he might be!

During a recent interview, Gwyneth Paltrow opened up about how she's made it through eight years of marriage with hubby Chris Martin!

Here's what she had to say about it:

"I have little kids in school. I want to maintain my marriage and my family, so I have to be here when he [Chris] comes home."

"We’ve been married for more than eight years now and we’re still into it. I think you do fall in and out of love and you just keep going, and every time you go through a really difficult phase you rediscover something new and it just gets better."

This is beyond appalling.

A gang is Atlanta targeting a male wearing skinny jeans when he walked out of a store.

He is then viciously attacked and repeatedly called faggot as the gang yells, "no faggots in Jack City."

They even have the nerve throw a tire at him!

Atlanta police are investigating the beating and are looking for any crimes reported that are similar to the attack.

These a**holes need to be reprimanded for the hate crime they just committed.

Denzel Washington and Scarlett Johansson won Best International Actor and Actress.

As for Morgan Freeman?? He took home the coveted International Lifetime Achievement award.

Congratz all around!!! Morgie, VERY well deserved!!
