Well The movie “Slumdog Millionaire” has turned out to be the real Golden Hen with the movie bagging The Golden Globe in Four Major categories like the best dramatic picture, director, screenplay and the original score.

The movie is based on the life of an Indian reality game show contestant and how he struggles his way past all the odds to become a Millionaire. The story is simple which was made at modest budget but touches the heart of every soul. The interesting thing is that the movie lost its American Distributor (Warner Brothers) and Fox Searchlight took over the distribution rights and still the movie has come out the trumps at the box office and a powerful Award contender this year.

After creating a furor at Golden Globe Awards, the “Slumdog Millionaire” team now has set its eyes on The Annual Academy Awards (Oscar).

Simon Beaufoy, the Screenwriter, said while accepting the award,”We really weren’t expecting to be here in America at all at one time so it’s just amazing to be standing here.”

The movie has turned out to be a Major hit with the Critics and the Audience as well. With all the Non Hollywood Cast, the movie edged past its major contender like “The Dark Knight.”

Christian Colson the producer of the film said,”We had the great privilege of working with a fantastic cast and crew in Mumbai who will be very nuts when they watch this tonight. They will be going absolutely mental so ‘hello’ to all of them and we’ll see you next week when we come out for the opening of the film in India next Thursday … and that’s going to be some party, I think.”
