Gillette have decided to “limit” the serial adulterer’s appearance in their razor campaigns as the golfer embarks on an “indefinite hiatus” from the sport. The company has announced plans to phase Woods out of their advertisements following a sex scandal that has unearthed the existence of more than a dozen mistresses.

“As Tiger takes a break from the public eye, we will support his desire for privacy by limiting his role in our marketing programs,” said Gillette, a division of Procter & Gamble.

Gillette’s announcement Saturday marks the first major sponsor pitchman to distance itself from the superstar athlete and corporate pitchman. AT&T is still unsure if they are going to stick with the world’s top-ranked golfer. “We support Tiger’s decision and our thoughts will be with him and his family. We are presently evaluating our ongoing relationship with him,” the television/internet/telephone company released a statement Friday.

On Tuesday, Gatorade announced plans to discontinue its Tiger Focus drink, although the company insists the decision to drop the beverage was made before news broke about the athlete’s affairs.
